At Oh-Tech, we believe technology should create opportunity for everyone. That is why we run Oh-Tech Just Give Back, a simple scheme that turns unused laptops into a genuine lifeline for children who need access to digital learning.
If your business has old laptops sitting in storage (or waiting for disposal), we can help you donate them responsibly. We will securely wipe, clean, and refurbish the machines before passing them on to children in need.
You can choose where they go, whether that is a local school, a community group, or a registered charity.
Why It Matters
Many children still do not have access to a suitable device at home. That means:
- Falling behind with homework
- Missing online learning opportunities
- Losing confidence in education
- Having fewer opportunities long-term
If we can help an underprivileged child gain access to the tools and resources, they need to learn we believe that is a strong, practical way to give back.
The Just Give Back Process

You tell us what you have
Send us a quick message with:
- Approx number of laptops
- Make/model if known
- Condition (working / not sure / faulty)
- Your preferred donation route (school/charity of your choice, or we can suggest options)
2.
We arrange collection or drop-off
We will confirm the easiest way to get the devices to us:
- Drop-off (if local)
- Collection options where appropriate
3.
Secure data wipe
We will securely remove existing data from each device before it goes anywhere. That means:
- Devices are cleared and reset
- Any old user accounts removed
- Machines prepared safely for reuse
4.
Refurbishment and clean-up
We then:
- Clean the laptops
- Carry out basic checks
- Make sure they are usable for learning (where possible)
5.
Donation to a school or charity
You choose where the laptops go:
- A school you support
- A charity you are involved with
- A local community organisation in need
